Discuss the Rules of the Road with your children, and then let them know that you expect they will follow them at all times when riding their bikes. If you see them do something unsafe, talk with them about why it was unsafe, and what the consequences could have been. When your children realize that you take bicycle safety seriously, they're more likely to ride safely even when you aren't watching.
